I'm a goldsmith and I love watching other people's techniques and styles. I thought it was genius how he put the piece in his drill in order to file it

I understand that diamond is the hardest thing on earth. but it's still prone to chipping, wear and tear with repeated trauma. issit possible to scratch the diamond during the making? my heart skips a bit everytime a blade or something goes near the diamond

The solder used is the same material as the two parts joined? In this case white gold? Is it higher purity or mixed/alloyed with something to melt at a lower temperature but still fuse the parts together? Excuse the noob questions, I am totally outside the jewelry making business 🙂
